The Chinese Taobao is a marketing platform similar to E-bay or other C2C E-commerce websites.
Searching a product will get you all the shops who sell that specific product.
Shops can be individuals or stores decided to open another front business online.
The universe rule about cheap internet shopping applies here as well, without a physical store or workers to be paid, the products are being sold relatively cheap, its relative to the Chinese market, when comparing to Europe or the US the graph goes way beneath the frame.

To search a product on the Chinese Taobao you simply go to its homepage and enter your desired product name in the large search box.

Taobao’s Rating System

Every shop has its rating level appear as Hearts, Diamonds and Crowns with crowns represents the highest amount of feedbacks from its clients. Taobao’s shops are eager to get good feedbacks and will work hard and loyal to be sure you are happy with their products or else they will get a “Black Rose”

The crown in the above image is followed by a number – the amount of feedbacks the shop earned.
The hearts beneath it represents how many items he bought on Taobao.
The third row shows a 97.97% of satisfied feedbacks by clients who bought from that shop.

Good and Bad feedbacks

When pressing on the shops feedback figures another window will pop showing us a more detailed graph about the shops recent feedbacks divided to Red, Yellow and Black Roses.
As red is a lucky color in Chinese culture, here it represents a satisfied feedback.
Yellow is a neutral feedback, and Black rose is the worst thing any shop owner fears from.
